Similar to the EcoAir DD122FW MK3 Desiccant Dehumidifier the DD122FW "Simple" offers the same performance at a lower price. Electronic controls have been replaced with a simple easy to use rotary humidistat + a 2-speed fan. No timer or auto rotating louvre but it remains a very good dehumidifier for the home and particularly if you have a requirement for dehumidification in lower temperature applications such as a single garage, boats, holiday homes, caravans, small workshop, unattended premises etc.
Improved Humidity Control - This dehumidifier has a variable humidistat offering a wide range of levels with the benefit that the machine stops completely when the humidity level is reached. We must point out that the accuracy of the humidistat is approximately 6-7% of the set level.

Desiccant Dehumidifiers
The DD122FW Simple is a desiccant dehumidifier that uses a desiccant rotor that rotates slowly within the machine. The moisture laden air is drawn through the desiccant rotor by the air circulating fan. A heater within the dehumidifier blows hot air onto a section of the desiccant rotor to re-heat the moisture into a high temperature vapour. The vapour is drawn into a condenser or radiator where it is cooled by the air moving through the dehumidifier and therefore changes to a liquid state and then drains into the collection tank. A very simple process that has several advantages.
Consistent extraction
Regardless of the internal temperature the DD122FW Simple will remove up to 8 litres of water per day regardless of where it is used. The DD122FW Simple extraction rate is equivalent to a 20 litre compressor dehumidifier in the house.
Operating Modes
The DD122FW Simple dehumidifier has a variable rotary Humidistat so that you can set the level you require. Turbo mode is constant dehumidifying on high fan speed for drying laundry or for rapid drying.
Heating
The air coming out of the DD122FW Simple can be about 10 to 12 deg C warmer than the air that that enters the machine and this can be very useful for drying laundry or warming colder areas of the house. The heat that is emitted from the dehumidifier only ocurs during dehumidifying otherwise ambient air is recirculated
Weight
As there is no compressor the DD122FW Simple weighs considerably less than a normal dehumidifier.
Sound
The sound from a DD122FW Simple is also less than that of a compressor type machine. Just 34dBA on low speed. The only sound you should hear is the sound of air movement
Power Consumption
Similar to other desiccant machines the wattage of the DD122FW Simple is higher than that of a compressor based machine. The wattage varies between 360 watts on low fan speed to 620 watts on high fan speed. But do remember that desiccant dehumidifiers get the job done faster at lower temperatures and are therefore operating for less time and so running costs are very similar or may be less when used in a colder environment. In general use you would use the dehumidifier on low fan speed. Only use on high fan speed for laundry drying or period of short duration. Another useful feature is that the machine has auto-restart after a power failure.
